POS-connected loyalty

Connect one customer identity to one completed order

A POS connection is useful when it links a verified customer record to a completed order. Zea treats automatic earning as connection-specific and keeps a standalone scan path available when the POS is not ready.

One identification step, one completed order

A verified POS path should identify the customer, receive the completed order, match a connection-scoped member link, and award the order once. A split payment or replayed event should not create duplicate points.

Use purchase history carefully

When the POS connection exposes item-level order data, repeated purchases can provide useful product signals. Treat them as signals, respect permissions, and avoid inferring personal characteristics the shop does not need.

Automatic earning depends on verification

OAuth or a customer-directory import does not prove that a specific POS edition returns a customer identifier on completed in-store orders. Test the exact brand, connection, location, and first sale before advertising automatic earning.
